JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, HEIC, SVG, PDF — up to 10MB
💡 Tip: Paste image with Ctrl+V
Drag and drop your images onto the drop zone or click to browse. Any format works as input — JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, HEIC, SVG, or PDF — and you can add several at once for batch conversion. You can also paste an image directly from the clipboard with Ctrl+V.
Select your output format from the grid, or accept the recommended format the tool suggests for your image. Adjust the quality slider for lossy formats, and optionally resize, rotate, or flip. PNG and BMP stay lossless while JPEG, WebP, and AVIF let you balance size against sharpness.
Click Convert to re-encode every file on the canvas. Download images individually or grab them all as a single ZIP archive. All processing is private and instant, so nothing is uploaded and you can re-convert at different settings freely.
An image converter changes a picture from one file format to another — JPG to PNG, HEIC to JPG, PNG to WebP, and so on. This one is deliberately any-to-any: feed it JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, PDF, ICO, BMP, GIF, HEIC, or SVG and export to whichever of those you need. Most people arrive because something rejected their file — a website that will not accept HEIC, an editor that wants PNG, a form that only takes JPG — and the fix is a quick format swap. Developers, designers, and iPhone owners moving photos to a PC are the heaviest users. Everything runs locally in your browser, so conversions are instant and private. Mechanically, the tool decodes your source image and draws it onto an HTML canvas, then re-encodes that canvas into your target format. Lossless targets — PNG and BMP — reproduce every pixel exactly, while JPEG, WebP, and AVIF are lossy and expose a quality control so you can trade sharpness for size. Special cases are handled behind the scenes: a PDF input is rendered so its first page becomes a high-resolution image, HEIC files from iPhones are decoded automatically, and ICO output packs the image into properly sized favicon resolutions. Alpha handling depends on the destination: PNG, WebP, and AVIF keep transparency, while JPG and BMP have no alpha channel, so transparent pixels get flattened onto a solid matte. HEIC exists because Apple adopted the HEVC-based container to store photos at roughly half the size of JPEG, but most Windows software and web upload forms never added a decoder, so conversion is the practical fix rather than an optional nicety. One more consequence of the canvas route: EXIF metadata, including GPS coordinates and camera settings, is dropped from the output, and JPEG sources arrive already chroma-subsampled so their color detail is fixed before re-encoding. You can also resize, rotate, flip, and even paste an image straight from the clipboard with Ctrl+V, and a format recommendation looks at your image to suggest the best output. A concrete example: take a 3.5 MB HEIC photo from an iPhone that Windows refuses to open. Convert it to JPG at quality 90 and you get a universally compatible file around 700–900 KB that opens anywhere. Convert that same HEIC to WebP instead and it lands closer to 450 KB at similar quality — better for a website. Or take a 2 MB PNG graphic and export it to WebP: expect roughly 600–700 KB with transparency intact, a clear win for page speed over the original PNG. The practical jobs are varied. Web developers batch-convert JPG and PNG assets to WebP or AVIF to cut page weight and improve Core Web Vitals. Designers move between PNG, JPG, and WebP depending on whether a piece needs transparency, maximum compatibility, or minimum size. iPhone users convert whole albums of HEIC to JPG so the photos work on Windows, email, and messaging apps. And anyone who needs a favicon exports a square image to ICO in one step. Batch mode processes many files at once and returns them as a single ZIP. Pick the target format to match the destination: WebP or AVIF for the web, PNG for transparency and pixel-perfect edges, JPG for the widest compatibility, and ICO for favicons. The common mistake is converting a photo to PNG expecting it to shrink — PNG is lossless and usually grows a photo's size, so use WebP or JPG for photographs instead. And converting into a lossless format cannot recover detail an earlier lossy step already discarded. Whatever you convert, your images never leave your browser: nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and data clears when you close the tab.
Input
3.5 MB iPhone HEIC photo converted to JPG at quality 90
Result
≈ 700–900 KB JPG that opens on Windows and every app
The canvas decodes the HEIC and re-encodes it as JPEG, solving the compatibility problem while keeping the photo visually identical.
Input
2 MB PNG graphic exported to WebP with transparency
Result
≈ 600–700 KB WebP, alpha channel preserved
WebP compresses far better than PNG while still supporting transparency, so the graphic gets much smaller with no visible change.
