Type or paste the sentence or paragraph you want to translate into the input box. The translator scans it for words that appear in its dictionary, matching only complete words so surrounding text stays intact.
Choose replace, append, or emoji-only, then set intensity and flip the keep-as-text toggle on any word you want to protect. Reverse mode is available when you want to turn an emoji string back into readable words instead.
Read the translated output to confirm it reads the way you intended, then copy it with one click into your caption, message, or post. Append mode is the safest choice whenever full readability matters for your audience.
A text to emoji translator scans your writing for words that have a matching emoji and swaps or supplements them, turning a plain sentence into something more expressive. Paste a line, pick a mode, and read the result. The dictionary behind it holds around six hundred entries mapping common words to their most recognisable emoji, covering feelings, food, animals, weather, activities, and objects. People use it to brighten social captions, to add playful flourish to messages, and to make party invitations or announcements stand out. The point is to keep the sentence readable while letting the emoji carry tone, which is why the matching rules matter as much as the dictionary itself. The single most important rule is whole-word matching. The translator only replaces a word when it stands alone as a complete word, never when it sits inside another word. This sounds obvious until you see what happens without it: a naive substring replacer that maps the word for a peach emoji would corrupt the word class into something inappropriate, because the letters appear in the middle. By anchoring every match to word boundaries, the translator swaps love in I love you but leaves the letters of clover, glove, and beloved completely alone. Matching is also case-insensitive so Love and love both hit, while the surrounding text keeps its original capitalisation. Punctuation attached to a word is preserved, so the exclamation mark after a matched word stays put. There are three modes and several refinements. Replace mode swaps each matched word for its emoji, so the word disappears and the symbol takes its place. Append mode keeps the word and adds the emoji right after it, which is friendlier when you still want the sentence fully readable. Emoji-only mode strips everything except the matched emoji, producing a compact string of symbols for a quiz-style post. A reverse mode goes the other way, reading emoji in your input and writing the words back out. An intensity control decides whether every occurrence of a matchable word is converted or only its first appearance, and a per-word keep-as-text toggle lets you protect a specific word you would rather leave alone. Take the sentence I love pizza in replace mode: love maps to a red heart and pizza maps to a pizza slice, giving I, a heart, and a slice as the output. Specific situations bring it to life. A social media manager writing a lunch promotion pastes a caption and uses append mode so the text stays clear for accessibility while the food emoji add appetite appeal. A teacher making a fun vocabulary worksheet uses emoji-only mode to turn short sentences into picture puzzles for young learners to decode. Someone planning a birthday message uses replace mode on the words cake, gift, and party for a compact, cheerful greeting. A quiz account posts emoji-only movie titles and uses reverse mode later to confirm the intended words. The per-word toggle rescues edge cases: if you want the literal word rose kept because it is a person's name, you flip its toggle and it survives untouched while the rest of the sentence converts. A few honest limits. The dictionary is curated, not exhaustive, so uncommon or abstract words simply pass through unchanged rather than getting a forced, confusing match. Emoji meaning is cultural and can vary by audience, so a symbol that reads as friendly to you may land differently for someone else; append mode is the safe choice when clarity matters. Emoji also render slightly differently across phones and operating systems, which is a platform display detail, not a translation error. For anything important, read the output before posting. Everything runs locally in your browser, so your text is never uploaded, stored, or logged, and the translator keeps working after the page loads.
Input
"I love pizza" (replace mode)
Result
I ❤️ 🍕
The dictionary maps love to a red heart and pizza to a pizza slice, and both are complete words, so replace mode swaps each for its emoji while the pronoun I has no mapping and stays as text. Whole-word matching means letters inside other words are never touched.
Input
"a lovely glove" (replace mode)
Result
a lovely glove
Even though the letters of love appear inside lovely and glove, neither word is a standalone match, so whole-word matching leaves both untouched. This is exactly the behaviour that stops a substring replacer from mangling ordinary words.
Whole-word matching prevents corrupting real words. If the tool replaced letters wherever they appeared, a word for a fruit emoji could turn an innocent word like class into something inappropriate because the letters sit in the middle. By anchoring every match to word boundaries, it swaps standalone words only and leaves longer words containing those letters untouched.
