Choose Draw mode to sign freehand with your mouse, trackpad, or finger on touch screens. Or choose Type mode to enter your name and render it in a flowing signature-style font for a quicker result.
Use Undo to remove the last stroke, Clear to start over, or adjust the font and size in type mode. Keep refining until the signature looks the way you want it on documents.
Save your signature as a transparent-background PNG. The image drops cleanly over any document, letterhead, or email without a white box around it.
A digital signature image is handy for signing PDFs, contracts, emails, and forms without printing and scanning. The Helperzy Signature Generator gives you two easy ways to make one: draw it freehand on a canvas using your mouse, trackpad, or finger, or simply type your name and render it in a flowing signature-style font. Either way you get a crisp PNG with a transparent background that drops neatly onto documents. The draw mode uses smooth pointer tracking so your strokes look natural on both desktop and touchscreens, and the canvas disables page scrolling while you sign so your line never jumps. If a stroke goes wrong you can undo the last one or clear the whole canvas and start again. The type mode is faster when you just need a legible signed name — pick from several handwriting-style fonts, adjust the size, and preview instantly. Both modes end up in the same place technically: strokes or glyphs are painted onto a canvas whose background is left empty rather than filled white, and the canvas is exported as a PNG where those empty pixels carry an alpha value of zero. Here is what each mode gives you. In draw mode, sign freehand with a mouse and you get an uneven, genuinely handwritten line — the wobble is the point, since a hand-drawn signature looks like a signature and a font never quite does. Export it and you have a PNG roughly 600 pixels wide with a transparent background, ready to place on the signature line of a lease. In type mode, enter a name like R. Sharma, pick a handwriting font, and you get a clean, perfectly legible rendering in about four seconds — worse as a personal mark, better when what you actually need is a signed-looking name on an invoice or an email footer. Same export either way. The cases are ordinary and annoying without this. A freelancer sending a contract needs to sign a PDF page without owning a printer or a scanner. A tenant returning a rental agreement by email needs the signature to sit on the line, not in a white rectangle covering the text around it. A small firm putting a director's signature on outgoing invoices needs one reusable PNG rather than a photograph of paper. A parent signing a school consent form on a phone at 8am needs to do it with a finger and send it back before the bus. Because the export is a transparent PNG, your signature sits cleanly over any background: a white contract, a colored letterhead, or an email footer. You can insert it into Word, Google Docs, a PDF editor, or an image editor without an ugly white box around it. Keep the strokes reasonably thick so the signature stays readable when scaled down. Privacy matters for something as personal as a signature, so everything here happens locally in your browser. Nothing you draw or type is uploaded, stored, or sent to any server — the PNG is generated on your own device and downloaded directly. Note that a signature image is convenient for everyday e-signing, but it is not the same as a cryptographic digital signature; for legally binding, tamper-evident signing, use a dedicated e-signature service that records intent and an audit trail. Two practical warnings. Saving the file as JPG anywhere in your workflow destroys the transparency, because JPG has no alpha channel and fills it with white — keep it as PNG the whole way through. And treat the exported image like a physical rubber stamp: once it exists as a file, anyone who gets a copy can paste it onto a document you never agreed to, so do not email it around loosely or leave it in a shared drive folder.
