How to Use Vaporwave Text Generator

1

Type Your Text

Enter the title, tagline or short bio line you want styled. Keep it short, because full-width characters are physically wider and long phrases wrap badly on a phone.

2

Pick a Style

Compare the full-width mode, the spaced-caps mode and the combined version. Full-width keeps the character count the same; spaced caps adds a space between every letter.

3

Copy & Paste

Tap Copy beside the style you want and paste it into your bio, playlist title or caption. Leave hashtags plain so they remain searchable.

What Vaporwave Text Is and Where the Full-Width Characters Come From

Vaporwave text is the wide, airy, spaced-out lettering that became shorthand for a whole aesthetic: 1980s mall interiors, Roman busts, Windows 95 dialogue boxes, slowed-down city pop. It shows up in Instagram bios, Tumblr posts, playlist titles, YouTube video titles, album art captions and mood boards, and the reason is simple — the extra spacing reads as deliberate and nostalgic in a way plain type cannot. This converts your ordinary words into that look, in a few variants, ready to copy. The characters are not stretched by any styling. Unicode contains a block called Halfwidth and Fullwidth Forms, added so East Asian typography could mix Latin letters with Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters, which occupy a full square cell each. Latin letters in that block are drawn at the same full width, and that is where the effect comes from. The full-width capital A is the codepoint U+FF21, and the full-width lower-case a is U+FF41. The generator maps each letter and digit you type to its counterpart there. A second variant does something different: it inserts ordinary spaces between capital letters for a sparse minimalist look. A third combines both for maximum effect. Each updates live and has its own copy button. A worked example. Type aesthetic. Each of the nine letters maps into the Fullwidth Forms block, producing aesthetic, which occupies roughly twice the horizontal space of the original while still being nine characters long. Now compare the spaced-caps variant on the same word: it returns A E S T H E T I C, which is 17 characters because eight spaces were inserted between the nine letters. That difference matters against a character limit — the full-width version costs nine characters, the spaced version costs seventeen, and the combined version costs seventeen full-width characters and is twice as wide again. Where it gets used. A lo-fi playlist curator titles a mix in full-width letters so it looks the part in a streaming app. A Tumblr user sets a blog subtitle in spaced caps for a minimalist header. A YouTube channel puts a full-width tag in a video title to signal the genre before anyone reads the description. An artist selling retro prints uses aesthetic text for the shop tagline. A student running a study account labels weekly posts in spaced caps so the feed looks consistent from the profile grid view. A synthwave producer names track files and Bandcamp release titles in full-width letters so the store page matches the cover art. A vintage clothing seller styles category headers in spaced caps while leaving the sizes, measurements and prices in ordinary type where buyers can scan them at a glance without any risk of confusion. Use it on short things — a title, a tagline, a single bio line. Full-width characters are physically wider, so a long phrase wraps awkwardly on a phone and often breaks a layout you were happy with, which is the mistake people make when they style a whole caption. Two limitations to note. Screen readers may announce these as fullwidth latin capital letter a and similar, or skip them, so anything essential should stay in normal characters. And search treats full-width text as different characters from their normal equivalents, meaning a hashtag or a searchable keyword written in vaporwave style will not match what people actually type — keep tags plain. Older devices without coverage for the block will draw empty boxes instead of letters, so preview on the platform you are actually posting to before you save anything. Conversion runs in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded, stored or logged.

Input

aesthetic

Result

Full-width: aesthetic (9 characters) · Spaced caps: A E S T H E T I C (17 characters)

Each letter maps to its counterpart in the Unicode Fullwidth Forms block, so the width doubles but the count stays at nine; the spaced variant instead inserts eight ordinary spaces between the nine letters.
