Select the date to calculate from using the picker, which defaults to today. This is the anchor the tool shifts from. You can pick any past or future date.
Pick Add or Subtract, type an amount, and choose days, weeks, months, or years. Use Days when you need an exact interval, since months roll over at month-end. Adding advances the calendar while subtracting moves it back.
The resulting date appears instantly as both an ISO date and a full date with the weekday. That tells you both when it falls and which day of the week it is. Adjust any input to recalculate on the spot.
The Helperzy Add or Subtract Days calculator moves forward or backward from a starting date by however many days, weeks, months, or years you choose. It exists to answer the questions that come up constantly in work and life: what date is 90 days from today, what was the date six weeks ago, when does a three-month notice period end. Pick a start date, choose whether to add or subtract, type the amount, select the unit, and the resulting date appears at once — no counting squares on a calendar and no risk of losing track across a month boundary. The tool removes the guesswork that creeps in when you try to count through months with 28, 30, or 31 days in your head. The logic is simple to describe. The tool takes your start date and shifts it by the amount you enter in the unit you pick: adding advances the calendar, subtracting moves it back. Days and weeks are exact spans, where a week is always exactly seven days regardless of when it starts. Months and years are calendar shifts rather than fixed day counts, so adding one month lands on the same day number in the next month, and adding a year lands on the same date one year later. Your browser's date engine handles the messy parts automatically — the differing lengths of months and the extra day a leap year slips into February — so the arithmetic stays correct without any manual adjustment. The distinction between a fixed-day unit and a calendar unit is the single most important thing to understand about date math. A quick example makes it concrete. Start on 15 January 2025, choose Add, enter 90, and keep the unit on Days. Counting through the remaining 16 days of January, all 28 days of February 2025 (not a leap year), all 31 days of March, and 15 days of April, the tool lands on 15 April 2025 and tells you it is a Tuesday. Switch the unit to Months with the amount set to 3 and you also arrive at 15 April 2025, because three calendar months from mid-January is mid-April. Subtracting 90 days from that same 15 January start instead walks back into the previous year, landing on 17 October 2024. A fourth case: adding 1 year to 29 February 2024 yields 28 February 2025, since 2025 has no 29th — the tool rolls back to the last valid day. The uses are everywhere. Businesses set payment due dates, notice periods, trial expiries, and contract end dates. A landlord giving a 60-day eviction notice needs the exact calendar day to put in the letter. Individuals work out project deadlines, return-by windows, warranty end dates, and travel itineraries. Because you can switch freely between days, weeks, months, and years, one tool covers a 10-day return policy, a 6-week booking window, and a 2-year warranty without extra steps. Legal departments count statute-of-limitation deadlines where one wrong day matters. One nuance to watch is month-end behaviour: adding one month to 31 January cannot land on 31 February, so calendar systems roll the result into early March, which may not be what you expect. When precise day counts matter — such as legal deadlines or financial penalty windows — prefer the Days unit over Months to avoid any ambiguity from variable month lengths. The result is shown as a clean ISO date and as a friendly full date with the weekday, so you know both when and which day it falls on. The calculator defaults to today, runs entirely in your browser with nothing uploaded, and works just as smoothly on a phone as on a desktop.
